Waterkloof Wine Estate produces all of its wines using biodynamic practices. Rhône meets Bordeaux in Waterkloof’s Circle of Life Red, as this blend is a harmonious marriage of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Shiraz. This wine will certainly keep you busy trying to identify the host of aromas it boasts. On first opening the bottle, the most forthcoming scents are of cassis and spice. Aeration will allow more complex notes to be revealed. Showing excellent texture and balance, the palate is filled with soft, succulent fruit cloaked in powdery, well-integrated tannins. Pairing suggestions include seared venison and lamb casserole.
